At IDEALearning we believe in the importance of Rest. We are committed to applying research to practice and research tells us that a well rested brain is a creative, innovative brain. We are a flexible, family friendly company passionate about what we do and why we do it and we care about the wellbeing of our staff and their families.
We value our people by encouraging all our staff to work a maximum 8 hour day, take a solid half an hour break away from their desk at lunch and have at least one full day off each week. Our office is closed on a Sunday. When our consultants take after hours calls or have to work overtime such as when working with our international or out of state clients, we encourage them to have a late start or an early finish the next day. We discourage our staff from multi-tasking and task switching, burning the candle at both ends and we try and foster an environment that strongly discourages workaholism, anxiety and isolation but encourages collaboration, personal support, and downtime with family and friends.
Relationships Before Revenue
At IDEALearning, we care about our clients and our staff and the work that we do. We are committed to the needs of our clients and our staff. We strive to do awesome work at all times, on time and communicate within reasonable time with our clients and staff but if a conflict occurs we will try and work it out with this special value in mind.
We also care about the people who matter to our staff. For this reason we encourage all our people to figure out a work-life balance that suits their needs and communicate this clearly to their team members, so that they can leave work behind when they get home and spend time with the people they love. We discourage having more than one meal in the office in a 24 hour period and we like our staff to feel like they can enjoy their relationships at home and at work. We acknowledge the contribution of each of out team members and we like to let them know we appreciate them. We value feedback from our staff and clients and work hard to continually improve our practice. We make our best effort to ensure we have a respectful office culture. We practice kindness.
Release - to Live
At IDEALearning, we do our very best to release our staff and clients to live.
This means a priority in all our courses, consulting services and resources is to see teachers, schools and students live the healthiest, purpose-filled and happy lives that they can live. It also means we release our staff to live a fulfilled healthy life outside of work and we strongly encourage this. We care about our staff and we care about their work, and we care about the people and things that matter to them.
Release - to Learn
At IDEALearning, we do our very best to release our staff and clients to learn.
We provide a wide range of professional learning services to teachers and schools, and we provide some fantastic learning resources for students. We also provide ongoing learning opportunities for our staff, including opportunities for staff to learn about themselves through the process of coaching, counselling or therapy. We believe in facilitating life-long learning.
Release - to Leave
At IDEALearning we do our very best to release our staff and clients to leave.
We don’t lock clients into complicated contracts and we try to be as flexible as we can be across all our services. We also release our staff when they need to leave us for whatever reason – to travel, to have a baby, to take another job, to study or simply to rest. We send our people out to shine on the awaiting world after their time with IDEALearning with our blessing, and we hope they remember us fondly as a great place to have worked for a season in their life.
