IDEALearning was founded in 2012 for the purpose of facilitating interdisciplinary research translation in Neuroeducation – also known as Mind, Brain and Education or the Science of Learning. The gap between research and practice in neuroeducation has long been evident and well documented. IDEALearning leverages technology to create opportunities for researchers and teachers to collaborate and learn from one another. Our team combines knowledge of learning management systems and multimedia instructional design with interdisciplinary research translation in Neuroeducation and the experiences of classroom teachers, to begin to establish a cutting edge research infrastructure to influence education.
We communicate research findings to pre K-12 schools and foster care and non-government organisations around the world in ways that retain the integrity of the research without propagating misleading information or making unrealistic leaps in our conclusions.
We are an international team of teachers, professional learning consultants, school leaders, social workers, academics, IT, legal and administrative professionals who partner with research groups to facilitate bi-directional research to influence education. Our professional learning presenters each have a minimum of 5 years of recent teaching experience and/or a minimum of Masters level research experience.
We connect with students, teachers and policy makers to creatively deliver professional learning material, consulting services and educational resources grounded in current evidence-based research fused with cutting edge technology.
Our Professional Learning model involves an interdisciplinary course development team for each course we develop. All our courses undergo a rigorous quality assurance process which involves continuous feedback and revisions and compliance with all necessary standards.
We are located in Sydney, Australia. IDEALearning is an Australian company.
Our clients are based all around the world. If we are working with remote clients we rely on the use of multimedia technology, video conferencing and collaborative documents to conduct our professional learning or consulting services. We are happy to travel to client locations when requested.
