IDEALearning offers a Consulting Service that is simple: contact us with a need at your school and we’ll research your need and provide a solution that connects research to practice at your school, in a format that is tailored specifically to your school.

Mainland High School notices that there are a large number of students who struggle to focus in class and suspects that this might be because students at this school are addicted to social media and digital devices. Mainland High School wants to embrace technology, but also wants students to have a balanced life and to be able to concentrate in class. Many Mainland High School teachers have noticed that a lot of children at school seem very anxious and fidgety during class unless they are using their laptops or tablets, however even whilst embracing technology Mainland High School teachers notice that many students are not on task and simply seem distracted.

Mainland High School contacts IDEALearning to discuss the issues at the school and see if there is any research about healthy use of technology, and if there is any connection between excessive technology use and distraction and anxiety. Further, Mainland High School is interested in practical strategies for teachers that can improve student’s concentration and focus during class without compromising on the effective use of technology in the classroom.

An IDEALearning consultant meets with the point-person at Mainland High School in a free one hour initial consultation.
